HONEY VALENTINE

Honey Valentine

Virginia Propst has had an appreciation for Burlesque as an art form for as long as she can remember. She never imagined she’d be performing it herself until she took a burlesque class with the intent to take it as far as she could. Her performance debut as Honey Valentine, was in Annie Cherry’s “Hurly Burly” in January of 2008. That opened the door to performing in numerous Cabaret Deluxe shows and in Cherry’s Deluxe “The Game Show Edition”, for Fringe Fest 2008. Honey Valentine has since made quite a name for herself as one of the featured performers with the Kansas City Society of Burlesque.

She has performed at a variety of special events and benefits including Toys For Tots, Mid-America Bully Breed Rescue, Crossroads Music Festival, PROMO Words of Love, Gear Grinder, the annual Laidback fundraiser ’08 & ’09, and Artopia, just to name a few. She’s also been mentioned in numerous articles in the Kansas City Star, The Pitch, and Ink Magazine, and was even featured on the cover of Ink Magazine in July 2008. She has even been know to do a little pin-up work here and there.

You can see her, along with the other members of the KCSOB, in this year’s Fringe Fest and monthly at Korruption in the West Bottoms. Honey Valentine currently teaches burlesque classes along with Lucky Deluxe and Kitty Von Minx.

She likes vodka gimlets, Laffy Taffy, and very large... audiences, that like to make noise.
